Membership in NMA is an important way to keep informed about statewide issues, to support the Nevada museum community, and to network with other Nevada museum professionals.
Benefits include a subscription to our quarterly newsletter and invitations to our annual meeting and professional training workshops. Institutional members also receive a listing and photo on our website every year the membership is paid. NMA members also participate in our NMA Member Courtesy program, enjoying free admission to select NV museums who have chosen to offer free entry to their NV colleagues as a professional courtesy.
Individual Membership is open to any individual who supports the aims and objectives of the Association. $30 annually.
Individual – Student Membership is open to students at any accredited college or university (or museum association training program) who support the aims and objectives of the Association. Includes all benefits of Individual Membership. $15 annually.
Museum Tier 1-4 Membership is open to any Nevada Institution meeting the museum definition established by the American Association of Museums. Benefits include subscription to NMA digital newsletter and email bulletins; up to five registrations for annual NMA conference at member rate; and one listing on NMA website.
Membership fees are set on a sliding scale based on annual budget:

Museum Associates and Advocates Membership is a non-voting membership open to any institution or organization which supports the aims and objectives of the Association but which is not a museum as defined by the American Association of Museums.
Museum Defined
A public or private nonprofit agency or institution organized on a permanent basis for essentially educational or aesthetic purposes, which, utilizing a professional staff, owns or utilizes tangible objects, cares for them, and exhibits them to the public on a regular basis.
